William R. Terry, AIF, is a financial advisor and president of Valley Financial Solutions in Roanoke. The native Roanoker is a Cave Spring High School and Virginia Military Institute graduate. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business with a minor in English. Bill played multiple sports and was a 4-year varsity letterman on the VMI baseball team.

Bill began his career in 1994, immediately after college. He’s enjoyed a career in Virginia and Atlanta, supporting diverse clientele and managing financial firms. He and his business partner currently own Valley Financial Solutions, which provides planning for local, regional, and national clientele. 

He recognizes that each client deserves a consultative approach to their distinctive needs and offers creative, objective, personalized counsel. Achieving financial peace of mind is his purpose. Bill’s focal points with individuals, families, and business owners lie in protection from economic pitfalls; tax efficiency, death, disability, long-term health care costs, education expenses, estate taxes, and transfer taxes require thoughtful consideration.

The accumulation and preservation of wealth is another key to sound financial health.  

Employing vehicles such as investments, retirement plans, charitable giving strategies, education plans, and multi-generational wealth transfer plans are tailored to client goals.

Whether early cornerstone planning or sophisticated estate and business planning, he devotes equal time and equal care. Bill strives for objective counsel within a dedicated partnership with each client regardless of the timeframe of their financial lives. 

As an active National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) member, Bill is recognized as a qualifying and life member of the International Million Dollar Round Table. 

Bill resides in Roanoke with his wife, Amy, and their daughter, Madeline. Their family enjoys local philanthropy, golfing, traveling, beach trips with friends, Virginia Tech athletic events,

and being together.
